How is chia seed oil made?
It is thought that chia seeds were first grown and harvested by Aztec civilization thousands of years ago and became one of their fice major food crops. The Aztec warriors ate chia sees to give the energy and endurance.
Waihi bush organic farm source quality organic chia seed from its native South America and then use our own unique process to produce superior, fresh, cold pressed chia seed oil.
Suggested serving size 1 tablespoon (15 ml) per day.
Serving suggestions:
- Blend into your smoothie or yoghurt. Chia seed goes well with vegetable dishes such as greens, salad, steam vegetables, mashed potato and soups.
- Use as a facial on clean dry skin.
To protect the nutritional value of this oil, it is not suitable for hot cooking.
Store cool. Can be frozen.
When opened, keep refrigerated and use within 6 weeks.
