How is pumpkin seed oil made?
Pumpkins are thought to have originated in the ancients America. It was one of the first wild plants cultivated for human consumption in the area, which combined with its nutritional properties and easy storage, made it an important part of its culinary history.
Waihi bush organic farm source quality organic pumpkin seed and then use our own unique process to produce superior fresh cold-pressed pumpkin seed oil.
Suggested serving size 1 tablespoon (15 ml) per day.
Serving Suggestion:
- Blend into smoothie or yogurt. Can be used as a salad dressing either alone or combined with other healthy oils, lemon or apple cider vinegar. Simply drizzle over soups, any vegetable dish or stir fires.
- Can be applied directly to the skin as a body moisturiser and to aid hydration.
To protect the nutritional value of this oil, it is not suitable for hot cooking.
Store cool. Can be frozen. Once opened, keep refrigerated and use within 6 weeks.
